Nice article, David! Couldn't agree more with your list! And though it doesn't score highly by your criteria, I'm particularly excited about this: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10373966/

Hi Nick, thrilled you enjoyed the article! I completely agree – the field of longevity and antiaging is on the brink of some groundbreaking developments. Researchers like David Sinclair and tech visionaries like Bryan Johnson are driving fascinating advances. This sector has the potential to become a trillion-dollar market in the next few decades. Anyone who successfully develops an effective anti-aging treatment, be it through transcription factors or small molecules, will undoubtedly earn a spot in future lists or honorable mentions.

And speaking of anti-aging, there's intriguing research in veterinary medicine too, like the anti-aging medication for dogs (Loyal for Dogs). It's fascinating how strategies used in animals, such as regulating IGF-1, might offer insights for human aging. The parallels and potential applications are truly exciting!

BMI is what interests me most and cloning. Synthetic babies... hmmmm. I guess cloning will become common in the future? And more effective than robots? 😅 Great list, David!

I’m excited for BMIs also in the coming years. It won’t surprise me if many of our wearable technologies begin incorporating such tech, particularly the headsets (think Apple Vision or Oculus). They will start with the reading functions and eventually develop writing tools!

The synthetic embryos from Hannah lab are very exciting. I’ll put an article out about them in the future. And perhaps the deextinction tech my company works on.

Deextinction tech! Now there's a term that sparks my imagination! We should set up a podcast and talk about this sometime!

That would be a lot of fun! I would just need to receive Company permission to talk about any of that on media though.

Well, hit me up if you do! :) Or we can leave out specific stuff!

Excellent selection of the top five. I agree that these are all big breakthroughs. The weightloss drugs are going to skyrocket into a huge, huge market (well, they probably already are).

Thanks, Nathan! It's always fun to look back on the year and make lists like these. As for the weightloss drugs, I'm seeing figures like $100 Billion before the end of the decade.
